From mid-field Denver continued to march to the San Diego 11 yard line, where they were finally stopped. The field goal unit came out. Denver got 3 more points increasing their lead to 4. On second down, a 6 yard pass to Denver’s Scheffler was caught. With effective blocking and a fake, he ran for another 47 yards to San Diego’s 8 yard line. If the Chargers could just contain Denver to only a field goal, there is still over 4 minutes and 20 seconds left… PLENTY OF TIME! Denver didn’t gain much yardage on first and second down rushes. On third down, a short pass resulted in a touchdown. Denver was ahead by 11, with 2:55 left to play. It’s over.
Shit. To earn a spot in the playoffs, San Diego will need to win 9 of their next 11 games. They have a good chance at 8 of those, and they will need luck for the 9th, so it’s not over yet. LT is playing much better. He rushed for 70 yards. However, Charger fans need to do their part by lighting candles and crossing thie fingers!
