So close……but in the end the Chargers record yet another loss! The team moves to 4-7? Yes, 4 and 7!! (Heavy sigh) I believe this is now the 4th game this season that the Chargers have lost in the last 25 seconds!

This game held some good and some bad. But in the end, the bad won out- AGAIN!! Poor clock management, poor decisions on 4th downs (on offense and defense), and because of- have I said it yet this season- POOR COACHING! Who lets Peyton Manning have that much time on the clock and not expect him to score? And then to make matters worse, the Chargers’ website posted an interview with team president Dean Spanos who says that Norv Turner will be back next year! WHAT!!!  I don’t even want him to return next week….let alone next year!! How does an organization let such a talented group of athletes go to waste?

The good news is that Oakland beat Denver this week! It is still hard to believe, but it’s true and fortunately for us this puts us two games behind the Broncos. Denver plays the Jets this coming week- who just upset the Titans. So, I guess anything is still possible! The Chargers host Atlanta and then Oakland the next two weeks. We could still go 9-7 this season. Not a great record, but a winning one nonetheless.

On one final note, I thought this was funny….What it feels like to be a Chargers fan
