In what alternate universe are we living in where the Miami Dolphins beat the Pats in week 3 (even without Tom Brady) and then hand the Chargers a smack down in week 5?!  Chad Pennington sure has our number….first as the Jets QB and now our D doesn’t know how to handle him even when he is wearing the tacky outdated Dolphins uniform!

Where are our Chargers!!?? The “should be Super bowl contenders” Chargers?

I expected last year to be a rebuilding year when we started from scratch with our coaching staff, but was excited to find our team in the playoffs and in the Super bowl hunt.

This season is tough for even the most loyal of the Chargers fan to stomach. Losing the game in the final seconds to Carolina!  Then having my favorite ref Ed Hochuli screw us out of a ‘W’ against Denver. I was so appalled by the Raiders game that I actually fell asleep during the game (rough night!) and was shocked- yet grateful- to find out that we had pulled that one off when I awoke from my midday nap. I did enjoy the MNF game against the Jets! But this latest game against Miami has me chanting “Fire Norv!”

That 42-yard pass to Jackson near the end of the 3rd quarter was beautiful! And then the fancy footwork of Chambers to put 6 on the board pumped me up….briefly! And even the fumble recovery following that same kickoff got the blood flowing. But when we failed to score on that drive, and then could not even capitalize to score 2 with the Dolphins deep in the end zone and Pennington even falling down in the end zone….well, my excitement faded.

Rivers is held to 159 yards and LT only gets 35. I bet Dolphin fans are happy to see that Ricky Williams has learned how to pass a drug test!
